I completed my Bachelors degree in psychology, as well as my Doctorate of Philosophy in clinical psychology at the University of Georgia. While in graduate school, I worked primarily in the area of pediatric psychology, a branch of clinical psychology focused on understanding the connection between psychosocial health and physical health. I also completed clinical training through Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, working with children with cancer and blood disorders, as well as children with organ transplants. I completed my residency in psychology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where I obtained broader experience in working with children with a variety of medical and psychological issues.
After completing my PhD, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, focused on children, young adults, parents, and families with cancer and blood disorders. In my postdoctoral fellowship, I completed additional training in pediatrics and heath psychology for licensure. I was also a fellow on a number of grant-funded research efforts. After my fellowship, I became an Assistant Professor within the Emory University School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and an Attending Psychologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for a little over 2 years before transitioning to my current position in the research industry at Evidation Health.
